ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) — University officials have collaborated with higher education leaders, administrators, policymakers, faculty members, researchers, extension practitioners, and development partners in the 2026 PASUC Annual Convention and General Assembly at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City from July 13 to 15, this year.

This year’s convention served as a significant avenue to engage in meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, policy discussions, and collaborative planning toward strengthening Philippine public higher education among state universities and colleges, international organizations, and stakeholders across the country.

ZPPSU is committed to advancing responsive and transformative higher education in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

Senate President of the 20th Congress Hon. Sherwin “Win” T. Gatchalian served as the keynote speaker of the event, along with Department of Education Secretary Hon. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara, TESDA Director General Hon. Jose Francis “Kiko” Benitez, and Education, Legislation, and Policy Advisory Hon. Ma. Cynthia Rose B. Bautista.
