ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (July 1, 2026) — Under the leadership of University President Dr. Nelson P. The visit highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to transparency, accountability, and strengthened inter-agency coordination.

Upon the instructions of BGEN Adriano S. J. During the meeting, the Philippine Air Force explained that the helicopter landing was carried out in accordance with established operational and security protocols. The delegation likewise reaffirmed the PAF’s commitment to accountability, responsible public service, and maintaining a strong partnership with the University through open communication and mutual respect.

The University expressed its appreciation for the Philippine Air Force’s initiative in personally addressing the incident, extending a formal apology, and demonstrating its willingness to rectify any damage, however minimal.

In a statement, the University emphasized:

“ZPPSU recognizes that operational requirements may sometimes require immediate action. At the same time, we value timely coordination and open communication, especially when the safety and welfare of our academic community are involved. We sincerely appreciate the Philippine Air Force’s courtesy visit, explanation, formal apology, and readiness to repair any damages. These actions reflect professionalism, accountability, and respect for our institution.”
