ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) – A total of 151 instructors to be deployed to all identified campuses of the university in the region, took their oath of office led by President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral held in different venues recently.
On July 29, the Extension Program Delivering Unit (EPDU) of the university officially welcomed 61 newly appointed Instructor I, held in Malangas Municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay Province.
The new teaching personnel will be deployed to the various campuses of ZPPSU-EPDU, including Vitali, Siay, Kabasalan, Malangas, and Bayog.
On the other hand, around 90 instructors I have also appointed into service, held in a hotel on August 10, where they will be positioned at the different colleges of the university’s main campus in Zamboanga City.
Dr. Cabral affirmed that the title of Instructor means the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, innovation, research, and community engagement.
“I encourage each of you to pursue excellence with humility, to welcome challenges as opportunities for growth and dedication to continuous professional development and meaningful service to society,” Dr. Cabral stressed.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Maria Christina G. Wee also congratulated the appointment of the instructors and encouraged them to embrace responsibilities with commitment, humility, and enthusiasm.
“Work with your colleagues, learn from one another, and always remember that you are part of a larger academic community working toward one goal – the success and development of our students,” Dr. Wee said.
Considered as ZPPSU’s largest faculty oath-taking held to date, the two separate oathtaking events brought together faculty members alongside university officials, united by a shared responsibility of shaping minds, inspiring aspirations, and transforming lives through education.
Dr. Cabral personally presided over the ceremonies and emphasized that their oath is a solemn commitment to uphold the highest standards of integrity, competence, and service in the teaching profession.
Lastly, Vice President for Administration and Finance Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula reminded the public servants that government service is a privilege and always value every opportunity received.
“Every salary we receive is supported by public resources. In return, the Filipinos expect competence, professionalism, accountability, and genuine service from us.
