A total of 151 instructors to be deployed to all identified campuses of the university in the region, took their oath of office led by President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral held in different venues recently.

Classes of all levels in the university for the academic year 2026-2027 have officially begun this week as the entire community convened for the open house event held at the gymnasium last Monday, August 10.

To advance Gender and Development Mainstreaming among the university’s five extension campuses in Zamboanga Peninsula, a Gender Sensitivity Training was held among teaching and non – teaching personnel in Malangas Municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay Province on July 30, this year.

Distinguished student leaders from the different student governing bodies across the campuses of the university in Zamboanga Peninsula archipelago collated for the four-day Leadership Congress activity following a series of upskilling leadership sessions, held in Zamboanga City from July 23 to 26, this year.

President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral encouraged the entire community to engage and commit to the internationalization efforts of the university as this envisions to be recognized in the World University Ranking for Innovation (WURI) through its unique best practices and impact-driven programs.

Commission on Higher Education – Commissioner Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong acknowledged the hard work and resilience to finish the tertiary level of education, among graduates, highlighting solo-parents, persons with disabilities, working students, and the firsts in the family to graduate.

Senior High School Laboratory – Class Valedictorian Althea R. Caranain, shared her resilience and dedication to finishing her education amidst silent battles, during the recently concluded 108th Commencement Exercises on May 16, this year.

Student academic and non-academic awardees were respectively honored, recognizing their excellent minds and brilliant contributions to the esteemed polytechnic university in Zamboanga Peninsula, during the University-wide Recognition Day among the graduating students held at the ZPPSU gymnasium on March 15.

Following the immense preparation of the university for the upcoming WorldSkills Western Mindanao 2026, students from the different colleges, senior high school, and extension campuses in the region convened for the Inter-University Worlds Skills Olympics as the major highlight of the ZPPSU 121st Founding Anniversary held at the main campus, this month.
