In line with the celebration of International Women’s Month, empowered women employees of the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University explored the basics of automotive technology held at ZPPSU Lot 2 Automotive Shop today, March 15.
The explorations aimed to raise awareness and safety among Juanas, who own and are exposed to driving vehicles, including cars and motorcycles. Among the vital parts and needs of the vehicles to check from time-to-time was the BLOWBAGETS — Battery, Light, Oil, Water, Brakes, Air, Gas, Engine, Tires, and Self.
The BLOWBAGETS exploration was led by Dr. Azul D. Lacson, together with its lecturers from the Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology (BSAT).
One of the participants was the Vice President for Administration and Finance Prof. Josephine Sulasula, who expressed interest in learning the basics yet vital as a wheel owner.
The event was spearheaded by the ZPPSU-Gender and Development Office headed by Prof. Mary Fe Dela Cruz.
