| A ceremonial groundbreaking rite of the rubberized track oval facility with mini-grandstand – Phase 1 was held at the ZPPSU open field today, October 19.
The construction of the said facility is worth almost thirty-nine million pesos, which was sponsored by our beloved Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara to the university.
Thus, it was awarded last September 11, 2023, and procured through public bidding.
The signing of the contract was also held between ZPPSU President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral and Zamboanga 3VC Construction Incorporated (contractor) President Engr. Ladeslao S. Darunday.
This facility aims to create a better, more comfortable, and healthier future for both students and employees.
Also, in attendance were representatives from the Office of Senator Angara Mr. Rhom Frias and Jasper Nuñez, CHED-Commisioner Dr. Jo Mark Libre, Hon. Celso L. Lobregat, Vice Presidents, Board of Regents, Deans and Office heads, faculty members, and students. (JRA/Photos: JBM)
