Waving the purple flags of nobility and power as strong women, the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University community commenced the blithesome month-long celebration of the 2024 National Women’s Month, through a purple parade and Juana contests at the ZPPSU Gymnasium on March 04. Some student representatives from the respective colleges joined the Musika Juana (Song Writing Contest) and Juana Dance Competition, expressing stories and cries for equality and inclusivity. This year’s observance is dubbed, “𝙻𝚒𝚙𝚞𝚗𝚊𝚗𝚐 𝙿𝚊𝚝𝚊𝚜 𝚜𝚊 𝙱𝚊𝚐𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚜: 𝙺𝚊𝚔𝚊𝚢𝚊𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚗𝚐 𝙺𝚊𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚊𝚒𝚑𝚊𝚗, 𝙿𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚝𝚞𝚗𝚊𝚢𝚊𝚗!” The event is headed by the ZPPSU-GAD Office Director Prof. Mary Fe Dela Cruz and esteemed staff, together with the respective colleges’ GAD coordinators. Representatives from Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) and Bayog Municipal Government in Zamboanga Del Sur, have inked a historic Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch the ZPPSU Bayog Campus today, March 4. The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) has received a significant boost with a 1.5 million pesos grant to strengthen the Government Quality Management Program (GQMP) Technical Assistance ISO 9000:2015 project. The commitment signing ceremony, hosted at the Development Academy of the Philippines in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, signals a major milestone for ZPPSU. Represented by ZPPSU Vice President for Administration and Finance Josephine Sulasula together with Prof. Atika Bidin and Prof. Christine Sisnorio, reaffirming their dedication to cultivating a culture of excellence and efficiency within governmental operations. This substantial grant not only supports the expansion of ISO 9000:2015 standards but also encourages organizations to adopt top-notch quality assurance practices. #OneZPPSU

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) IGP Commercial Hub has proudly conducted the official inauguration of its grand opening and blessing ceremony on February 28, 2024. The blessing ceremony was presided over by Priest Fr. Elmer Sumile, ICAS de Calarian, who bestowed his blessings upon the new venture. President Nelson P. Cabral, in his message, emphasized that the establishment of the ZPPSU IGP Commercial Hub marks a significant milestone for the university, opening doors to various opportunities for growth and development. The ceremony witnessed the simultaneous opening of 6 out of 8 businesses within the hub, including: – Black Plate – Food and Drinks – Kingfrost Coffee Shop – Elead Bookshop and School Supplies – Fabulouz – Arts and Crafts – Chef Jose -Ole-ole Malaysian Restaurant Soon to open: – Coca-Cola Beverages -Allen One 24/7 Convenience Store Distinguished guests in attendance included members of the Board of Regents such as Hon. Celso Lobregat and Hon. Dr. Mario Arriola, as well as Hon. Martin Wee, the DOST R9 Regional Director, ZPPSU Vice Presidents, Directors, Heads, and other key officials. The grand opening and blessing ceremony were spearheaded by Dr. Dorothy Tan, IGP Director, under the guidance and mentorship of Vice President Josephine L. Sulasula. #OneZPPSU

Making it to the spotlight, Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University – Men’s Volleyball Team hailed as the gold winner in the recently culminated Dia De Zamboanga Volleyball Tournament 2024 – Senior Category. Among the ten competitive contenders from different colleges, universities, and commercial teams, the ZPPSU managed to make it to the top with no loss from the preliminary to the final round. Further, some of the awards were given to the ZPPSU players to include Mr. Erwin Dave Javier (Best Setter), Mr. James Enriquez (1st Best Open Spiker), Mr. Laurence Lubiano (Best Middle Attacker), Franz Gian Manas (Best Opposite Attacker), and Mr. Juanito Bacang Arena bagged the Most Valuable Player award of the league. Mr. Kerwin Francisco, Visiting Lecturer from the College of Physical Education and Sports (CPES), is recognized as the best coach. The 4-day tournament was managed by ZPPSU Sports Director Prof. Dexter Paclibar and the ZPPSU Gymnasium had served as the official venue of the league. Truly, action bleeds domination. As we leap to the year 2024 with so many inevitable challenges ahead, Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University teaching and non-teaching personnel gathered to celebrate the accomplishments and feats attained both in academic and administration during the year 2023, held at the ZPPSU Gymnasium today, February 27. The general assembly was led by President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, stating the need to observe unity in every doing among the personnel as well as to perform well at their respective jobs and designations. Further, the Vice Presidents have also presented their past fulfillments of their offices. The light-mood convention has realized everybody that the ZPPSU could do better, and by working together, we will be more unstoppable. #OneZPPSU
