A community engagement through an outreach program among local children of the Fishermenโ€™s Village was conducted by the faculty personnel of the National Service Training Program of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University in Barangay Manicahan yesterday, March 24.

Marking the significance and celebration of the 121st Foundation Anniversary and the 5th Anniversary as university, the NSTP community gave away a total of 121 pieces of various school supplies and food packages, respectively, to the 121 children beneficiaries of the village.

Further, the ZPPSU delegates planted 121 mangrove propagules in the coastal areas of the community to protect the shorelines as well as to mitigate climate change risks.

The ZPPSU is thankful to the community authorities for accommodating the little help for the children and to the parents for allowing their children to be part of the university milestone.
