ZPPSU COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
Students from the Professional Education Certificate (PEC) – Batch 38 of the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University conducted a community outreach program among 250 enrolled indigent pupils of Datu Panguluhan Elementary School in Barangay La Paz Zamboanga City recently.
The volunteers, headed by Professor Ana Maria Gomez, prepared a series of activities aiming to bring smiles and positive impacts to the students, especially this yuletide season, such as Christmas-theme Shoe Box Giveaways, Food Distribution, Play Games, and Actual Demo-teaching.
The event was fully partnered by the 6th Air Reserve Center headed by Commanding Officer LTC Glenn P. Eugenio (GSC), who provided the transportation of the volunteers.
The program aims to connect with those in need and provide them with support as well as resources they require to improve the quality of life. (JRA)
