Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, through the Scholarship Office with representatives from the Commission on Higher Education – UniFast, conducted a whole-day orientation on scholarship programs being offered by the government to student-grantees, held at the Sen. Angara Building recently.
The event focused on Republic Act 10931, dubbed the βUniversal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act,β which was discussed by Ms. Watchel T. Basilio of CHED-Unifast.
Among the scholarship programs given to the students were Free Higher Education among State Universities and Colleges, Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), Tulong-Dunong Program (TDP), and Student Loan Program.
Further, concerned offices of the ZPPSU clarified the process of its release, and explained the considered factors on its delays.
The ZPPSU and CHED have guaranteed the scholars that they will really receive the grants of the government, and affirmed that there are no scams happening during the release.
The government will always prioritize students in need.
The event was graced by ZPPSU Scholarship Director Ms. Lilia Remoto, OSAS Dean Dr. Rommel Guillermo, CHED-UniFast representatives, and other officials.
