As part of its optical mission to improve vision and provide quality eye care for all, Tzu Chi Zamboanga gave out free reading glasses among employees of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, held at the Medical-Dental Building on April 14.
The event was fully coordinated by the ZPPSU – Medical and Dental Health Services Office and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, where a total of 162 free reading glasses were duly distributed to employees aged 30 and above.
This humanitarian initiative led by ZPPSU-Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Cyrus Pil Cadavedo, highlights the importance of promoting occupational health and safety by ensuring a clear and comfortable vision for everyone.
The initiative was represented by Tzu Chi Program Officer Mr. Aldizhar A. Abdulaup, with its volunteers including Mr. Jerome Del Mundo, Ms. Mercie Yeo Acosta, Ms. Melanie Lim, and Mr. David Lucy, in partnership with the ZPPSU-MDHS Team headed by Dr. Franz Chezka Kathrize A. Ochotorena.
