Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral underwent evaluation for his second term as university president, held at the ZPPSU Medical and Dental Building on March 11, 2025.
The steering evaluation committee interviewed the ZPPSU president regarding his accomplishments during his tenure, as well as his aspirations and goals for the institution.
Navigating leadership continuity, Dr. Cabral presented his achievements and milestones from 2019 to 2024, highlighting the institution’s transition to university status, academic excellence, and the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment and machinery.
The evaluation committee was led by AACCUP President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, along with PASUC President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, CHEDRO-IX Regional Director Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, Private Sector Representative Dr. Victor A. Liozo, and ZPPSU-EPDU Dean Dr. Kier Dela Calzada.
The committee expressed their appreciation for Dr. Cabral’s rapid and commendable achievements during his first term and encouraged him to continue his good leadership.
The neighboring university, Western Mindanao State University, represented by its President Dr. Ma Carla A. Ochotorena, who showed her full support during the second day of the evaluation.
