ZPPSU joins National Women’s Month celebration

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University actively participates in this year’s National Women’s Month celebration this March. Anchored in the core message #WEcanbeEquALL, with the theme: Babae sa lahat ng sektor, Aangat ang bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas. An epitome of empowered women, the Vice President for Administration and Finance Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula encouraged the entire ZPPSU community to continuously promote gender equality, uphold women’s rights, and foster an inclusive society. Further, ZPPSU-Gender and Development Office headed by Ms. Mary Fe Dela Cruz reiterated the community to always champion gender sensitivity and inclusivity inside and outside the campus. ZPPSU celebrates EPDU triumphs at the 2025 General Assembly

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University celebrated the 2024 academic year highlights of its extension program delivering units during the 2025 General Assembly, held in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, on March 1. The four Vice Presidents emphasized the value of passion, dedication, and strong collaboration among offices that has driven ZPPSU’s success: VPAF Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula; VPAA Dr. Roy L. Valesco; VPSAS Dr. Ma. Christina G. Wee and VPRE Dr. Rolando P. Malalay, together with EPDU Dean Dr. Kier Dela Calzada, shared profound updates and commendable accomplishments of the different offices. Subsequently, the University President, Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, gladly presented the Office of the President’s 2024 performance highlights, from multi-million infrastructures, strong linkages and partnerships, state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, academic excellence, and highly recognized dynamic governance. “Do not just teach—guide them, motivate them, and nurture them. Love your students as a parent would,” motivationally expressed by Dr. Cabral, in cultivating the relevance of parenting approach in higher education. Dr. Cabral also reiterated the significance of embodying good attitude, right behavior and best character among the ZPPSU community. ZPPSU Assembly highlights 2024 university’s bests

The Offices of the President and Vice Presidents presented their exceptional achievements and milestones of the fiscal year 2024 at the General Assembly, held at Astoria Plaza today, February 27. The assembly began with the presentation of commendable performances and highlights from the Vice Presidents of Administration and Finance, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Services, and Research and Extension, respectively. This was followed by a presentation from the Office of the President, led by Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, showcasing the university’s 2024 milestones and student-centric developments. Further, vital orientations on ZPPSU D’BEST Client Service Orientation facilitated by HRMU Director Ms. Liza Santos, and on RA 6713: Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Official and Employees by Atty. ZPPSU Fablab Manager’s artworks in “HERMANOS” exhibit displayed

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University – Fabrication Laboratory Manager Mr. Einar A. Palma, is one of the five Zamboangueño artists who was recognized at the “HERMANOS” Art Exhibit at the Garden Orchid Hotel. The art display features the different artworks of the behold local artists until March 08, to mark the National Arts Month and Dia De Zamboanga celebrations. The other behold artists were Francisco Lorenzo, Michael Aizon, Wally Juhailuli, and Quazhar-Azeez Pandi Tawasil. With the love and support from the ZPPSU and the IGP group headed by Dr. Dorothy Joy Tan, is extending their warmest congratulations to the talented and creative colleague, Mr. Palma. ZPPSU conducted a bid opening of the Design and Build for Electrical Substation and Secondary Feeder Lines

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University conducted a bid opening of the Design and Build for Electrical Substation and Secondary Feeder Lines for ZPPSU Lot 1 Campus (Phase 1) among potential bidders, held at the Conference Room today, February 17. The said substation is amounting to 10,000,000 million pesos. The bid opening is headed by VPAF and BAC Chair Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula together with the BAC members and secretariat. ZPPSU to ensure maintenance of track oval

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University officials headed by President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral had a discourse with the contractor on the maintenance of the 400 meters Rubberized Track Oval that will soon be opened to the public, held at the Conference Room today, February 17. President Cabral emphasized to impose strict regulations especially on its usage to maintain its quality. To note, the facility is funded by Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara. Zamboanga 3VC Construction Inc. President Ladeslao S. Darunday and Project Field Engineer May Sharod O. Abdulgani, affirmed that the facility was duly studied before to construct as well as shared the do’s & don’ts while utilizing the oval to the officials. VPAF Ms. Josephine Sulasula, VPSAS Dr. Maria Christina Wee, Chief Administrative Officers, Supervising Administrative Officers, Engineers, General Service Office, CPES Faculty, and IGP Director were also present during the meeting and joined the on-site inspection. #OneZPPSU #TheHeartOfInformation
