ZPPSU honors praise awardees, retirees at ZPPSU General Assembly 2026

ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY – On behalf of the university, President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral honored the unwavering commitment of the retirees who helped shape the strong foundation of the university and extended his congratulations to the PRAISE awardees who worked with an exemplary performance in the past fiscal year, held in a hotel during the ZPPSU General Assembly on March 04, this year.

The President has reaffirmed that recognizing merit and honoring commitment remain central to the institutional culture.

“To our retirees, your unwavering commitment, wisdom and sacrifice have helped shape the strong foundation upon which we now stand. You leave behind, not only records of service, but legacies of mentorship, integrity, and compassion that will continue to inspire us,” Dr. Cabral said.

The recognized retirees from 2024 to 2026 were the following:

  2. Dr. Jason V. Chavez for a full-time degree program in Warsaw University of Business and Psychology at Poland. He is currently enrolled in the Master’s Program in Management with a Specialty or Master of Management in Business Management.

“We likewise extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Praise Awardees whose exemplary performance, innovation, and dedication embody the highest standards of our university. Your achievements remind us that excellence is not accidental but the result of discipline, teamwork and passion for service,” Dr. Cabral added.

Meanwhile, the vice presidents have also presented their remarkable outcomes in 2025 from academic innovations, student support enhancement, research innovations and extension services, financial stewardship, and the most evident infrastructure development, as testimony of their hard work, professionalism and shared commitment to excellence.


The ZPPSU General Assembly this year reminded the academic community to recommit and uphold the university policies that safeguard fairness, accountability, and professionalism in our workplace.


The event was convened by the faculty members, administrative personnel, the job order community, high-ranking officials, and other stakeholders of the university.
