ZPPSU holds groundbreaking ceremony of academic building in Vitali Campus

A formal groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of a four-story academic building featured with 20 classrooms and a roof deck, held at the ZPPSU EPDU-Gregorio Vitali Campus (Phase 1) on January 23, this year. The establishment of this facility amounts to nearly 50 million pesos, funded by Senator Loren Legarda for the university. โ€œToday, we mark the day when this dream for the Vitali Campus will come to fruition. We are forever grateful for the generosity of the Gregorio family, who have found it in their hearts to share their land, allowing EPDU-Vitali to finally have a campus they can call their own,โ€ expressed by the University President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral. The contract was signed by ZPPSU President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, along with representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)โ€”Antonio A. Gonzales, District Engineer and Chief of the Maintenance Divisionโ€”and the President of Zamboanga 3VC Construction Incorporated, Engr. Ladeslao S. Darunday (contractor), along with ZPPSU Vice President for Administration and Finance, Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula, and Resident Engineer, Ryan Catamco. Dr. Kier Dela Calzada, Dean of EPDU, expressed his gratitude for the full support of the University President and key officials. โ€œWe have built not just a facility but a symbol of hope, resilience, and dedication,โ€ Dr. Dela Calzada said with heartfelt gratitude. ZPPSU-MDHS administers Free Pneumococcal Vaccines to its students, employees

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) boosted students and employees health by offering free pneumococcal vaccinations, spearheaded by the ZPPSU Medical-Dental Health Services, led by Dr. Franz Chezka Kathrize A. Ochotorena joined forces with the City Health Office through ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ๐š๐ง ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ and ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐‚๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ at the MDHS building, today. This vaccine shot safeguards the employees against multiple strains of bacteria against pneumonia. About 208 doses of pneumococcal vaccine were administered to students and employees. ZPPSU-EMO conducts monitoring, assessments of extension programs, projects in Zambo City

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University – Extension Management Office (ZPPSU-EMO), in collaboration with the School of Business Administration and College of Engineering and Technology, has conducted monitoring and assessment of the ongoing extension programs and projects at barangay Baliwasan and Kasangyan, recently. Through the effort of the EMO Director, Assistant Prof. Cellyn A. Verallo, the monitoring serves to assess the progress in utilization of the Urban Gardening and Marketing Entrepreneurship, Accounting for Non-Accountants, and Sales (MEANS) Training and conduct of the next training under the School of Business Administration. These programs and projects were evaluated through a comprehensive monitoring form for training application to assess their progress in achieving expected results and recalibrate possible tracks for the next livelihood trainings. The ZPPSU-EMO extension programs serves as a catalyst of rural development focusing on strategies, approaches, and models of development. ZPPSU leads first suppliers’ open forum

To ensure seamless and smoother transactions on procurement processes, Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University facilitated the first-ever forum among suppliers, partners, and colleagues of the institution, held at the Senator Angara Building today, January 10. The soothing discourse was led by ZPPSU Vice President for Administration and Finance Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula, highlighting the vital role of suppliers as trusted partners in fulfilling the institutionโ€™s organizational mandates efficiently. โ€œLet this forum serve as an opportunity to align our goals and reaffirm our shared vision of efficient, ethical, and effective procurement practices,โ€ VPAF Sulasula said. Further, the forum encouraged the suppliers to exchange ideas, clarify expectations, and address concerns that impact the procurementโ€™s quality of engagements. President Cabral shares university progress, urges employees to be more responsible

The first flag ceremony for year 2025, was held and graced by all teaching and non-teaching personnel of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University at the open ground of the main campus today, January 06. ZPPSU President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, attended the traditional Monday observance, and reiterated the working force to start the year as committed to work and compliant to the stipulated policies of the ZPPSU. โ€œYou are here in ZPPSU, so you have to work for ZPPSU,โ€ Dr. Cabral emphasized. He also shared the university progress among working core officials and rising infrastructures in ZPPSU to include the Rubberized Oval with Mini-Grandstand, CICS Building, Health & Wellness Building, Gym Renovation, and more.
