ZPPSU Maritime Education is ISO 9001:2015 compliant

ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) — After a two-day thorough review of compliance with the International Standard Organization, the College of Marine Education of the university gained noteworthy findings and was certified as compliant today, July 25.

This was confirmed by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Team Leader Mr. Alexander Javier with no conformities and positive indications, during the exit meeting of the periodic audit held in the accreditation room.

“This process [Quality Assurance] is not merely a requirement but a commitment to quality and excellence – a shared responsibility and accountability that will drive the institution towards global competitiveness,” Vice President for Administration and Finance Ms. Josephine Sulasula said.

By sustaining compliance, the university officials are hopeful to be ISO 9001:2015 compliant as a university as well.

“This insight will guide us to further enhance the QMS as we are gearing towards institutional ISO,” VPAF Sulasula affirmed.

The College of Maritime Education headed by the Dean, Chief Engr. Jeoffrey S. Mojana will ensure the marine services remain responsive to future sea engineers and stakeholders. (JRA/ABC/Public Information Office)
