A supervised industrial training orientation was administered for the new interns of the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University-Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (ZPPSU-BTVTEd) program held at CTE Building 2 on June 20.
The main objective of the orientation is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and tools that are fundamental on their OJT onboarding.
Dr. Roberto S. Eyo II, Dean of CTE, expressed his aspiration to the students: to uphold the image of the university, through collectively impressive performances in their apprenticeship from partner agencies and institutions.
Guest speakers: Ms. Ma. Asie G. Tubil II, University Registrar; Prof. Margie B. Janda, RGC, Guidance Counselor; Dr. Franz Chezka Katrieze A. Ochotorena, Medical Officer, represented by her medical staff; and Prof. Romeo D. Francisco shared invaluable insights on the know-how’s and other related prerequisites on their deployment.
Highlights included in-depth discussions on the importance of psychological testing , medical and laboratory exams, proper grooming, the code of conduct, and discipline, respectively.
Further, the Director of OAPO, Prof. Clarisa V. Acac, shared her expertise on OJT training, including how to correctly complete OJT applications and other relevant documents that are necessary for the training.
