Civil Engineering stud qualifies in Nat’l Quiz 2025

ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) — Civil Engineering student-representative, Mr. Crisanto Perez is set to represent the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University and the entire Zamboanga Peninsula region at the National Civil Engineering Students’ Quiz 2025 — National Elimination.

The university has emerged as the overall winner of the Regional Elimination, out of 18 participants from the six State Universities and Colleges in the region, which was recently held at the Department of Public Works and Highways — 2nd District Engineering Office (DPWH-ZCDEO).

Other engineering participants of the ZPPSU including Ms. Lie Anne Clements and Mr. Kim Bryan Candol have also showcased a high level of skills and fiercely fought in a tie-breaker for third place.

“Their hard work and teamwork truly reflected the spirit of excellence that we nurture here at the ZPPSU,” the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Student Chapter of the university quoted.

The two other winners who will represent the region were Mr. Earl Justine Vengado from Ateneo De Zamboanga University (2nd Place) and Mr. Harl Andrew Bernardo from Western Mindanao State University (3rd Place).

“His exceptional knowledge and dedication earned him a well-deserved spot in the upcoming national competition, bringing pride to our university and inspiring fellow students. We are immensely proud of our participants’ achievements and look forward to our representative shining on the national stage,” PICE-ZPPSU Student Chapter cited.
