Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University honored the triumphs of its student-athletes who represented Region IX in the recently concluded National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games 2025 held in the province of Camiguin, during the first flag ceremony of the month. The ZPPSU delegates, together with other SUCs in Region 9, showcased their exemplary skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in various athletics and sports, emerging as 5th in the entire Philippines. The ZPPSU community is extending its warmest congratulations to all ZPPSU athletes and coaches for bringing pride and honor to the university and to the entire region. #OneZPPSU #TheHeartOfInformation

Leaders from the different student organizations of the university participated the two-day leadership congress, held in a hotel from April 29-30, this year. The event unfolded with a series of impactful sessions aimed at empowering student leaders with critical leadership competencies. This will ensure that its students are ready to lead, serve, and innovate for the betterment of their communities and beyond. This was spearheaded by the Supreme Student Council headed by Hon. Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University – Medical and Dental Health and Services Office delivered free medical and dental health services to students and employees of the university, held at the main campus today, April 30. Among the services were blood letting activity, free medical consultation, free dental check-up & tooth extraction, and free medicines and vitamins. These health services is partnered with the Department of Health, Red Cross Zamboanga, ZPPSU-Office of the Student Affairs and Services headed by Vice President Dr. Cyrus Pil Cadavedo. This was facilitated by the ZPPSU-Medical and Dental Health Services led by ZPPSU Physician, Dr. Franz Chezka Kathrize A. Ochotorena. #OneZPPSU #TheHeartOfInformation

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) of Region IX, delivered a strong performance among different sports during Days 1 to 3 of the 2025 National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games held in different areas across the province of Camiguin. The ZPPSU delegates showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in various athletics and sports, including Sepak Takraw, Softball, Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, Football, Swimming, Taekwondo, Karatedo and Athletics. 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐀𝐀 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒 2025 —- The opening of the National SCUAA Games in Camiguin Island was officially held at the Provincial Sports Complex on April 23. To note, this national sports event is a grand spectacle of athletic skill, excellence, and solidarity among State Universities and Colleges from all over the Philippines. Student-athletes of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University are now set to show off their fullest potential and expertise in their respective sports. Further, the entire ZPPSU delegation joined in the parade, performed the “saludo,” and witnessed the entire opening ceremony of the national sports contests. The region is composed of 321 athletes from ZPPSU, WMSU, JRMSU, JH Cerilles, ZSCMST, and BSC, hoping to emerge at the highest ranks this year. Finally, PASUC President Dr. Tirso Ronquillo has officially opened the National SCUAA Games 2025 to over 100 participating SUCs across the country. Region-IX delegations including the ZPPSU, JRMSU, JH Cerilles, WMSU, ZSCMST, and BSC are in full attendance. 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐀𝐀 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒 2025 — Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) medical team with officials have conducted roving medical services to check on the health and to ensure no injuries among the Region-IX athletes, especially from the ZPPSU, before embarking to actual games, during the National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games scheduled on April 23 to 27, this year. The Medical Team is headed by ZPPSU and Designated Region-IX SCUAA Physician Dr. Franz Chezka Kathrize A.
