ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) — The university continues to strengthen its international presence through the active participation of Vice President for Administration and Finance Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula, who represented the university and the Philippines as speaker and presenter at the International Conference 2025 on Internationalization in Higher Education Leadership and Management: Perspectives, Innovations, and Best Practices, held at the SEAMEO Regional Training Center (RETRAC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on October 8–9, this year.


The mentioned conference was hosted by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Training Center (RETRAC), in collaboration with the Alberta Bureau for International Education (ABIE), the BC Council for International Education (BCCIE), and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
The event gathered leaders, policymakers, and education experts from across Southeast Asia and North America to exchange innovative perspectives and share best practices in higher education internationalization and governance.


VPAF Sulasula presented her research titled “Government–University–Industry Nexus: A Triple Helix Review of Employability Options of College Graduates in Zamboanga City, Philippines,” where the study provides a policy-oriented analysis of the collaborative mechanisms among government, academia, and industry that shape employability outcomes of college graduates.

Further, it highlights the importance of Triple Helix partnerships in fostering sustainable linkages, responsive curricula, and innovation-driven local development.
Her participation signifies ZPPSU’s steadfast commitment to advancing international research collaboration, evidence-based leadership, and institutional excellence in alignment with its vision to become a globally competitive and innovation-driven polytechnic state university.
