Strengthening its readiness as host of the upcoming TESDA Mindanao and Regional Skills Competitions 2026, the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University conducted a benchmarking activity to esteemed institutions from February 23 to 26, this year.
The said activity aimed to gain firsthand knowledge and practical insights on how Skills Competitions are planned, organized, and implemented.

The World Skills Philippines, TESDA Woman Center and HYTECH Power Inc. were chosen in recognition of their extensive experience in hosting skills competitions in previous years.

ZPPSU is confident that their established systems and best practices will greatly contribute to the successful conduct of these competitions in August and April 2026, respectively.

The initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing skills development, while fostering industry partnerships and advancing institutional excellence.
