ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) — Registered Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, underwent an evaluation by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), examining the coherence of the programs, held at the institution on July 25, 2025.

TESDA compliance audit team leader Engr. Oscar E. Perey headed the TESDA review along with other audit experts, to include Engr. Amy N. Mabatid, Mr. Neil A. Pulido, and Mr. Edpher Y. Lacao-Lacao.

“At ZPPSU, we take pride in our hands-on, industry-driven approach to education, ensuring that our graduates are not only competent but also globally competitive. The programs under review including Dressmaking, SMAW, and Trainers Methodology are vital in equipping our learners with the skills needed to thrive in their respective fields,” Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Maria Christina G. Wee shared.

Additionally, the evaluation ensures that technical education programs offered by the ZPPU-Institute of Technical Education Department, headed by Director Norwesa Madriaga, are aligned with technical standards and industry landscape.

The university continues to raise the bar in technical education. “Together we can ensure that ZPPSU continues to be a beacon of quality technical education in the Zamboanga Peninsula and beyond,’’ Dr. Wee added. (ABC/JRA/Public Information Office)
