Faculty members and administrative personnel of the university attended the orientation on the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan) program of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), held at the Engineering Building today, September 03.

The university, in partnership with Medicare Plus, conducted the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) benefit orientation for university beneficiaries, held at Angara Building today, September 2.

Mga nagwagi sa iba’t-ibang paligsahan ng Buwan ng Wika, pinarangalan! Sa pagtatapos ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika sa unibersidad, mga estudyanteng kalahok na nagwagi sa mga iba’t-ibang kompetisyon ng sining ay pinarangalan, na pinangunahan ng College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences partikular ang programang Batsilyer ng Sining sa Filipino.

The Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office of the university, through the Extension Management Office, provided a five-day comprehensive training course on ‘Project PREPARE’ among the Philippine Army personnel of the 2nd Maintenance Battalion, 2nd Logistics Support Group, held at their campus recently.

Civil Engineering student-representative, Mr. Crisanto Perez is set to represent the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University and the entire Zamboanga Peninsula region at the National Civil Engineering Students’ Quiz 2025 — National Elimination.

The Cultural and Performing Arts of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University was hailed as the overall champion in the recently concluded Cultural Dance Competition held at Paseo Del Mar on August 15, this year.

Mid-year accomplishments of the university colleges, offices, and units were reported during the Agency Performance Review this year, to scrutinize efficiency and ensure alignment of their laid-out programs to the university’s overall mission, held in a hotel last week this month.

President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral engaged in a dialogue with the leaders at the 2025 Presidents’ Summit, hosted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), held at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila, from August 14 to 15, this year.

The university has formally opened the academic year 2025-2026 among thousands of students across its main campus held at the newly-operationalized gymnasium today, August 4.
