ZAMBOANGA PENNSULA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY (PIO) — The university has officially exchanged a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sarawak Skills Development Center during the Green Mobility Innovation Summit (GMIS) held at Imperial Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia on September 8-9, this year.
This strategic partnership between institutions for international alliances will expand the scope of academic and institutional cooperation between Sarawak Skills and ZPPSU, with great prospects for the exchange of faculty and students.

Additionally, the core objective of the MOU includes staff exchange, joint program development, skills competitions, conferences and CSR initiatives that support the sustainable development goals.
Meanwhile, the Sarawak Skills Development Center is an accredited training and assessment center in the Philippines that provides technical and vocational education and training (TVET) that equips students and workers with the skills required by industries in Sarawak.


This partnership was represented by VPAF Ms. Josephine L. Sulasula and VPAA Dr. Ma. Christina G. Wee, VPSAS Dr. Cyrus Pil Cadavedo, VPRE Dr. Rolando Malalay, Director for Internationalization Dr. Maria Cristina Andrade, CICS Dean Prof. Ferdinand V. Andrade, CET Dean Engr. Jennifer C. Gargar, along with Assistant Director for Internationalization and External Linkages Dr. Alexius D. Silorio, ITE Director Prof. Norwesa L. Madriaga, CET Faculty Ms. Olive T. Gerolaga, and Resident Engineer Ryan Catamco.
Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also graced the event.
